Explore America’s patriotic past on a walk along the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail. Visit Paul Revere’s House or the Old North Church, or throw your own tea party at the Old South Meeting House. For a more recent trip down memory lane, envision JFK’s 1,000 days in office at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.

For those entrenched in the present, pop in to the Franklin Park Zoo, which boasts an intimate indoor gorilla exhibit, or check out the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the largest orchestral organization in the world.

Between sessions at the Annual Meeting, indulge in the Boston favorites of clam chowder and Boston cream pie or shop along Newbury Street, Copley Place, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

Even though the ease of traveling by foot has earned Boston the nickname “The Walking City,” you can take the “T,” Boston’s subway system, from the Heinz Convention Center to all of these sites or, if you liked this year’s duck tour in Seattle, you can hop on one in Boston as well.
